SDDCC ’24: Friday Places to be for TV & Movies

It's always hard to decide what to focus on at San Diego Comic-Con. The sprawling showcase of comics, anime, games, film and television offers something for every flavor of fan. But, if film and television is your jam there's plenty to choose from to fill your Friday dance card. 

Hall H 

The Boys - 10 a.m.

Showrunner and executive producer Eric Kripke joins the series’ stars for a postseason finale celebration, featuring behind-the-scenes secrets, favorite moments, and surprises.

Doctor Who - 12:30 p.m.

Stars Ncuti Gatwa (the Fifteenth Doctor) and Millie Gibson and showrunner and writer Russell T Davies to discuss the latest season and its game-changing finale episode, streamig on Disney+ and BBC iPlayer.

The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power - 11 a.m.

Showrunners J.D. Payne and Patrick McKay are joinged by cast members to bring fans a inside look ahead of the August 29, Season 2 premiere.

The Walking Dead: Dead City - 1:45 p.m.

Confirmed panelists include stars Lauren Cohan, Jeffrey Dean Morgan, Gaius Charles and Željko Ivanek alongside showrunner Eli Jorné and The Walking Dead Universe chief content officer Scott M. Gimple to discuss upcoming Season 2 of the AMC/AMC+ series.

The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon – The Book of Carol - 2:45 p.m.

Showrunner David Zabel, Scott M. Gimple, Director Greg Nicotero, join Norman Reedus, Melissa McBride and Louis Puech Scigliuzzi to debut the trailer for the AMC/AMC+ series and discuss the upcoming second season.

Alien: Romulus
5:15 p.m., Hall H

Director Fede Alvarez and cast Cailee Spaeny, David Jonsson, Archie Renaux, Isabela Merced, Spike Fearn and Aileen Wu gather to discuss the next installment of long-running franchise.

Indigo Ballroom, Hilton Bayfront Hotel 

Common Side Effects - 11 a.m.

Co-creator Steve Hely and writer-director Sean Buckelew join the Adult Swim voice cast members Martha Kelly, Emily Pendergast, Joseph Lee Anderson and Dave King to discuss the new series.

Rick And Morty: The Anime Series - Noon

Writer-director Takashi Sano, producers Joseph Chou and Takenari Maeda, and Adult Swim’s head of action and anime Jason DeMarco share details about the new addition to the Adult Swim franchise.

Solar Opposites - 2 p.m.

Solar Opposites executive producers Mike McMahan and Josh Bycel join cast members Thomas Middleditch, Mary Mack and Sean Giambrone on a panel to screen a never-before-seen episode and discuss Season 5 ahead of its August 12 premiere on Hulu.

The Great North - 3 p.m.

Get to know the creative minds behind the Fox animated series. Creators and executive producers Wendy Molyneaux, Lizzie Molyneaux-Logelin and Loren Bouchard join voice cast members Dulcé Sloan, Paul Rust and Aparna Nancherla to discuss the series.

Bob’s Burgers - 4 p.m.

Creator/executive producer Loren Bouchard, EPs Nora Smith and Holly Schlesinger and supervising director Bernard Derriman bring breaking news about the upcoming season on Fox, alongside by cast members H. Jon Benjamin, John Roberts, Kristen Schaal, Eugene Mirman, Dan Mintz and Larry Murphy.

Ballroom 20

Snowpiercer - 11:15 a.m.

There will be an exclusive advanced screening of an all-new episode of Snowpiercer (Season 4, Episode 2 “The Sting of Survival”), followed by stars Daveed Diggs, Mickey Sumner, and Mike O’Malley  joining executive producers Paul Zbyszewski and Christoph Schrewe to tease what to expect in the AMC/AMC+ series’ fourth and final season.

Dexter: Original Sin - 5:45 p.m.

Showrunner/EP Clyde Phillips, EP Scott Reynolds joins cast members Christian Slater, Patrick Gibson and Molly Brown to bring fans the niside scoup on upcoming new Paramount+ series. Moderated Sarah Michelle Gellar.

Jim Lee (DC president, publisher, and chief creative officer) is on hand with few of his his friends for discussions and surprise reveals. 

Gremlins: The Wild Batch
2:15 p.m., Room 6A

Executive producers Tze Chun and Brendan Hay join stars Ming-Na Wen, Izaac Wang, AJ LoCascio and Gabrielle Nevaeh to preview Season 2 of the Max animated prequel series.

Like a Dragon: Yakuza
2:30 p.m., Room 5AB

Series lead member Ryoma Takeuchi, producers, a surprise A-list star from the cast and a SEGA producer share an exclusive first look at Season 2 of the Prime Video series

The Tower First Look
4:45 p.m. Room 6A

Bella Thorne, Jack Kilmer, Cam Gigandet, director-writer Adam Sigal, producer Clare Bateman-King come together to discuss indie filmmaking and debut upcoming fantasy drama The Tower.

Harley Quinn & Kite Man: Hell Yeah!
8:15 p.m., Room CBDF

The cast and creators from both Max Original adult animated series arrive with sneak peeks at unreleased Kite Man: Hell Yeah! scenes and a discuss what's for Harley Quinn’s upcoming fifth season.

House of the Dragon Season 2 Episode 7: Special Advance Screening
10:30 p.m., Room 6A

An exclusive screening of the penultimate Season 2 episode. 

Keep in mind that certain rooms, like Hall H and Ballroom 20 often require a time (and line committment) that means checking out the full breadth of programming on currently running and upcoming projects may not be possible.
